One a Days
As soon as the Pandemic started I turned 34 and I knew I wasn’t going anywhere for a while. In an attempt to keep from going stir crazy I illustrated an icon a day for a full year. Each day is something of a journal for that day and each month is a new style.

Year
2020 - 2021

March
The start of a year long journal.
March 2021 I turned 34 and it marked the full year anniversary of our 2 week quarantine. March was the same everywhere; video games, vaccines, weird docs and cooking.

April
Flash sheet doodles.
April was the tax season, first trip out with the dogs, a fire scare, first haircut in a year and “Kong vs Godzilla”. It was also the perfect time for me to break my computer, right as this thing was getting going.

May
Playing with thin lines I guess, wasn’t really sure.
Cinco de Mayo at home with margaritas and Mario Kart, a pool day and a tornado in Atlanta. Who knew that could even happen but I guess it makes sense.

June
A month of a ton of changes.
June was the month we decided to pick our our lives and make the move to NYC to embark on the biggest journey we have ever taken. We also celebrated our friends getting married, having kids, and moving a brother to Chicago for residency.

July
Apartment scouting had begun.
We took a trip to NYC for the first time with purpose. exploring all of what NYC has to offer and looking for a spot we might call home.

August
Pops of some color to say farewell to summer.
AS you can see we had to hit the ground running, cleaning the house, patching and painting, packing and staging. Wild things picked up so quickly.

September
Our final month to celebrate.
This was it, our final 30 days in Atlanta. We went out with a bang and celebrated with everyone, every where at any chance.

October
Thirty nights of Halloween.
We have a tradition that every night we trade off picking movies for all of October. Typically my wife picks more light hearted movies while I go the other way. Usually watching those alone and describing what’s happening.

November
Our boxes finally came in for the holidays.
It took over a month for our furniture to make the trip up north which meant a lot of delayed unpacking and decorating. We made the mistake of inviting all of our Atlanta friends up for a friends-giving, giving us a about a week to get it into gear.

December
Remembering our friends back home.
I have been wanting to do something less stylized for this journal so I decided to take the time and make some headshots of the ones I miss most back home as Christmas gifts.

January
Waiting for spring to finally show up.
A small exploration of artistic vessels and plant life to kick off the year and watch the snow melt away.

February
A finale of my new neighborhood.
As. I wrapped up the year I felt book ending it with scenes from my new home was only fitting. Can’t believe it’s been a year, can’t believe we left our home of 34 years, can’t believe I stuck it out.
